Oklahoma in the House!

Since it first became a thing, I've been a part of the Oklahoma Women Bloggers. It's an amazing, hyper-local group of women bloggers (hence the name), connected to amazing, hyper-local groups of women bloggers from a growing list of states.

museum of natural history
But it started in Arkansas. Stephanie Buckley saw what a positive impact connection had on the bloggers in her state and she shared the idea with 8 other states. Part of this connection includes a yearly conference held in Arkansas, where all Women Blogger members (and really, any and all bloggers out there) are invited to attend, to gather, grow and connect, which is the mission of the Women Bloggers. And every year, I've gotten my Arkansas T-shirt, commemorating the conference.

I've attended two of these conferences and am looking forward to the next one—even more now that I have my very own official Oklahoma Women Bloggers swag to wear!

Oklahoma in the House!

Bigfoot Creative, a local screen printer, designed and printed out shirts, and they are awesome! I'm proud to wear my shirt around town, proclaiming my affiliation to the Oklahoma Women Bloggers and hopefully spreading the word.

It's not completely easy to center a panhandled state in the middle of
a t-shirt, but I say that this turned out pretty good!

Bigfoot, on Main Street in Norman, can custom-make just about anything you need to have screen printed. You can shop their showroom or visit them online to see their Oklahoma-inspired designs. Plus, shopping local is just all-around awesome. And easy to do when you find great options.

Are you an Oklahoma woman blogger and want to learn more about the group and how to become a part of it? Please check out OKWB online for all the details. If you have friends in other states, encourage them to find the networks there! I promise it'll be a good thing.

And if you want to find some great, Oklahoma-themed shirts (or hats or aprons or hoodies or of your own design), visit Bigfoot and tell them the Oklahoma Women Bloggers sent you!

And if you want to hear more about the Arkansas Women Bloggers annual convention (held this year in Hot Springs, Arkansas from August 28-30), where you'll find an amazing roster of inspiring and informative speakers (including yours truly), find all the details (including registration links) on the AWBU page.
