Of course, this being Oklahoma, I also know that this is temporary. Already the weather-mongers are telling us it's going to creep back up into hot within the next week, but today? It's fall.
Even the local outpost of the prolific coffee chain restaurant is celebrating the wonders and joys of fall! I really wanted to save that cup and reuse it but, well, paper doesn't hold up so well to reuse. These fall leaves and doo-dads sure do make me happy.
Fall makes me dream of things like sweaters. And all things carb, like crusty bread and hot soup. Ooh, doesn't tomato soup sound yum? Lucky for me, earlier this week I received an Influenster VoxBox that included some great products. If you follow me on Periscope, you may have seen me unpack the box earlier this week. The Comfort VoxBox I received included Annie's Organic tomato soup, Tide Ultra Stain Release Free, Fisher Nut Exactly Snack Bites and Fiber Choice Immunity Support.
First thing I want to talk about is the soup. I'm familiar with Annie's Organic—seriously, can you be a mom of a child under age 15 and not be familiar with Annie's products? Particularly those cheddar bunnies? While I certainly intended to make this soup for my kids, they missed out on it today. I cooked up the soup (that carton was refreshingly easy to open) and doctored it with some crushed garlic, frozen chopped basil, croutons and Parmesan cheese. I prefer my tomato soup with a bit of an Italian flair.
The soup cooked up quickly with a dark, rich color that was enticing. I really do like a pre-packaged soup that doesn't require an addition of milk or water. And if you've ever struggled with a soup carton (not like in a "Joey on Friends does an infomercial where he can't open a carton" sort of way, but for real), this one will surprise you. I will definitely buy this soup again! And next time, I'll even share with my kids.
As for the other products in the box:
The Tide came in handy. I'm pretty well-known for sharing my lunch or snack with the front of my shirt. While the soup was a lovely deep red, it didn't pair well with my blue sweater. Also, a bit of research told me that though the tide is HE so it works with my washer, it won't work with an aerobic septic system like I'll have when we move.
The Fiber Choice Immunity Support Fruity Bites came to me at the perfect time of year, when everyone I know is getting their flu shots and complaining about how crappy they feel after taking them! Who doesn't like immunity support? We can all take these as the dosage is easily marked on the back and the product is appropriate for my tween and teen to use. Plus, they taste like fruit snacks so I could slip them into their snack without them even noticing...
All of these products were sent complimentary to me by Influenster for testing purposes. None of these reviews are bought or sold, and all opinions and words herein are my own.
